Beating The king on his greatest surface and Federer on the Australian open Tsitsipas makes a mark himself as a next superstar in men’s tennis era. Thiem did the same and the rivalry will go on to win number of Slams in years to come.

I remember reading an article back in 2017 with almost the same exact title except it was Thiem and Zverev instead

Zverev can’t be written. Well he may be the future Djokovic. Djokovic just struggled the entire decade and once he finds the rhythm in 2011-the rest is history..! Just wondering who would be player to join with them as big 4! Nick kyrgios or Khachanov.

19-22 y.o. Djokovic struggled because of peaking Nadal and Federer only, losing many slam & masters SF/F to them but also winning a slam, wtf and five masters before his second slam title as 23.7 y.o.

Thiem is 25.5 y.o. (the age B.Borg retired at) so putting him in the same sentence with Federer & Nadal is preposterous even if he wins 9 slams in the future.

As for the next decade most dominant duo, it is much more likely to be FAA-Tsitsi.

Agree. I think Khachanov will be the 4th member. Kyrgios will become the new Wawrinka, wins a few here and there but never quite becomes dominant enough to join the other four. Or maybe there will be only those 3 guys that are consistent enough to be on top, maybe none at all.

Recency bias again.
Would MTF ever learn?
After Zverev won ATP final last year, we were told by MTF "experts" that he would dominate soon.

Zverev has never had significant slam results despite playing for much longer. While Stefanos already has an AO SF. I agree that he needs to prove himself before being proclaimed the next best thing, lest he end up with the pile of failing youngsters like Kyrgios, Khachanov, Medvedev, Chung...

The big "four" or "three" term won't be used anymore after Federer/Nadal/Djokovic area.
There will be many different slam or masters 1000 winners

Tsitsipas might be at some stage number one and win a couple of GS (still to be seen tough) but he won't dominate the tennis like the above guys did.
