Well Cash replacing Becker it's fitting ego for ego and neither won a clay title.

McEnroe and Muster that will be a fun clash of two lefthanders and I wonder how seriously McEnroe will take this tournament.

Maybe Muster should use the outfit of your avatar to confuse John! :)

John McEnroe couldn't find a helmet big enough for his ego.

But the french open is the most gruelling of the slams and an inspired Lendl did steal "Johnny Mac's Mojo" that day.

Lendl just had a better sense of humour and McEnroe wasn't fit and I love the fact that McEnroe never won there.

Noah should be playing at this event.

epic final (Mac v Lendl)...epic battle ( 5 sets)...epic drama (ouch!)

The only 5 set final of recent times at RG that has been horrible was the 99 one final and a horrible memory it still is.

91 was a good result even though I hate Courier, but 93 was better though this is when the French showed their love for all things Spanish when they really loved Bruguera.

because you hate Agassi even more. ;)

Nothing is worse for me than Courier winning two french open and talking french.

Hopefully Sergi was there in 93...Maybe that's why frenchies like him so much. ;)

Why did you hate Courier speaking French?

Bruguera won in 93 and that's when Courier went downhill and yes they really appreciated him for sure, maybe he should have changed his nationality.

I was very young in 93 and probably "a little bit" in love with Sergi

During his speech Courier said in french something like "I'm talking like a spanish cow right now!" with an arrogant american attitude.

I probably took it personally. :(

I thought he was refering to Sergi speaking French like a Spanish cow, cause I know Sergi was speaking mostly French during that presentation, but Courier is Courier, so it's not surprising.

I understand! Yes, he was referring to Sergi's French...unsuccessful attempt of typical French humour... But his French wasn't bad at all, to be honest. :)
