The WC will go only for canadian players, are usual?

I think they should give one to Kyrgios.

During the ATL tournament, Gimelstob mentioned that Sock had gotten a WC. Probably cause he and Pospisil won Wimby dubs.

Canada's Frank Dancevic isn't on the qualies entry list, so he must have a MD WC.

Hum, same can be said for Thiem. He's also not on qualies entry list. So it may be Thiem, Sock, Dancevic and Polansky?

Or Thiem just decided not to play Toronto because of Kitzbuhel?

Or Thiem just decided not to play Toronto because of Kitzbuhel?
I think that's more likely. He'll start his US campaign in Cincy qualies (if he doesn't receive MD WC) and having said that, Kyrgios deserves that WC more.

...

Right now, we have players that are 99% out, but haven't withdrew officially :

8 Del Potro, Juan Martin ARG 8
19 Dolgopolov, Alexandr UKR19
20 Haas, Tommy GER 20
40 Mayer, Florian GER 40

and some players are questionable :
21 Monfils, Gael FRA 21
31 Tursunov, Dmitry RUS 31
39 Dodig, Ivan CRO 39
43 Berlocq, Carlos ARG 43

Wonder who will be the last direct acceptance, hopefully Klizan will get in.

http://www.rogerscup.com/men/english/currentNews.php?id=SEEDINGS_ANNOUNCED_FOR_2014_ROGERS_CUP_PRESENTED_BY_NATIONAL_BANK

According to this article, Delpo and Dolgo are officially out.

Also the most important piece of information I was looking for - the Draw will be held on Friday August 1st at 4pm local time (10 PM CET)
Even though it doesn't say here, probably they will first hold the qualies draw, and main draw would follow.
Qualies and Main draws are usually not held at the same time. For most tournament where there's a sign in deadline the qualies draw is made shortly after 9 PM(the sign in deadline). That's not the case here, but I believe they tend to wait until 9 PM anyway in most cases.

When main draws are held on Friday the main draw is almost always out before the Q draw.

Re: Toronto Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated July 31, 2014)

question for smucav or somebody with similar knowledge :

why is there SE spot, when draw is made on Friday ? I mean, SE is held for somebody who reaches Washington SF, which is played on Saturday, but draw is already made on Friday afternoon. ( ? ) how do they judge this situation ?
