Nadal at #6 is a joke. Guy has to stand 20 metres behind the baseline to get the ball back.

Federer at #4 is also kind of a joke. his ROS is nothing special.

Murray should be at #1 or #2 at worst. Putting him at 3 is a joke and shows how clueless whoever made this video is about tennis.

Also Ferrer was miles better than Fedal. How he can be comfortably below them in these rankings is a disgrace

I sort of imagine that the marketing strategy dictates that Tennis TV should include both Nadal and Federer in all videos of this sort. It's disrespectful to the less accomplished players to just throw in Nadal and Federer into a top 10 of a category that both of them really are not that impressive in. It's nice that there are places on the internet like this where people know a little bit about tennis. The people who made and edited the video surely know enough about tennis to know that Federer isn't the 4th best returner of all time.

I would have Murray as number 2, but Im not all too upset about that.

I agree the list is bad. Federer’s return is trash, and nadal’a isn’t special either but this posting is also dogshit. Ferrer never could do anything against Federer’s serve that’s why he’s 0:17. He’s nothing more but solid on return and certainly not better than fedal.

Fed in top 5 returners? What marketing says, is Fed's backhand also in the top 5?

Fed’s return is underrated since he’s one of the best at returning big serves, just ask Roddick. I agree he isn’t top 5 tho as his return stats reflect he’s not quite that good. Dull really isn’t a good returner, he just moonballs it back from a mile behind the baseline and wins with his ground game instead. Top 3 are almost interchangeable and Agassi could arguably be 1 considering his era was filled with big servers on fast courts and he was still one of the very best players there. Djokovic is a better aggressive returner than Murray but Murray is better at returning big serves.

1. Djokovic
2. Murray

3. Agassi

4. Ferrer
5. Federer

6. Hewitt
7. Borg
8. Connors

9. Nalbandian

10. Nadal - he should be on the list. He may not be hitting winners but when he can hit a forehand deep back to you , then you are already in trouble. Although good serving players can trouble him sometimes.

Forgot about Chang who just couldn’t quite parlay it into a HC majors title. Agassi is & will always b the Godfather of ROS catching baII on the rise helping him to attain multiple (esp. HC) GSs in his prime & making it into an offensive weapon. His disciple at #2 is Novak who has an overall better game including athleticism & then u can list #3 & beyond.
