I noticed there was no top 10 film list for 2007 here in the MTF. I was curious what films the posters here viewed were the best of 2007. Here are mine, in no particular order:

1. 3:10 to Yuma
2. Sweeney Todd
3. No Country for Old Men
4. Michael Clayton
5. The Host
6. Beowulf (in 3-D)
7. There Will be Blood
8. Rescue Dawn
9. Eastern Promises
10. Transformers

My favourite was Halloween although I prefer the original. Disturbia I thought was really fun, but no classics in 2007. They don't make great films these days.

Didn't see many last year, but the Bourne Ultimatum was my favourite out of the bunch...really awesome, fast-paced film. :yeah: Also enjoyed American Gangster - "my man!"

Simpsons was funny, but I left a little disappointed.

I forgot about Bourne and American Gangster. Both were exceptional...with Bourne being the best of the "threequels" this year.

Did you see the film in digital 3-D? It was, honestly, one of the most amazing visual experiences in my lifetime. This is the future of film, I tell you.

No love for "Hot Fuzz"? That movie was effing brilliant!
No, Hot Fuzz was excellent. Not as good as Shawn of the Dead, but still fantastic.

Was Beowulf really that good? Is it at all similar to the book? Closely follows the same story line?

1) The Last King Of Scotland
2) The Bourne Ultimatum
5) American Gangster
American gangster was a pretty darn good movie, well Denzel always puts in a good performance everytime he acts.

Is Hannibal rising at all related to Hannibal Lecter? I guess not, I don't even remember who the main actors were for Hannibal Rising, I have not been to the movies in such a long while.

Beowulf in 3-D was a sight to be seen. See it before it leaves theatres, because on dvd, definitely NOT one of the top 10 films of the year.

Loved the scene between Denzel and Russel...at the end of American Gangster...have two actor ever passed coffee back and forth so effectively?;)

Beowulf .. some nice efects and that's it
Michale Clayton is overhyped. It is not a bad movie , but it is not something new. Hollywood just enjoys lickin' Clooney's ass  Tilda S. was really good :yeah:
