Had a little, friendly, exchange with few fans here on this topic - and I think it deserves a separate thread.
I'm sick and tired of watching the recordings.
I want to see some LIVE tennis.
I live on the other coast, but I'll be there at the USO, in person, days before it starts. Just to watch them train and hit the ball.
This shi* is destroying our sport.
I've had enough of it.
Totally agree. Everyone has reopened or is in the process of re-opening. Other sports are have started or on the verge of starting. It's time to bring tennis back as well. If that mean no fans that's a small trade off for just having tennis back.
In Bulgaria football starts with FANS in the seats. 30% of the capacity and 2 seats space between spectators. I do not think they will be able to enforce these rules by the way. People are not scared here as there are only like 14 new cases of covid 19 per day.
Recreational tennis is starting to come back. It's actually one of the safest sports there is. No physical contact and the only real transmission vector is the ball (which you can resolve by using two separate cans).
Bring on tennis from August on in 2020, I'm ready to see Rogie do some damage!!
