Here's a pretty lame translation from ESPN Brazil.

With a resounding victory, Tiago Fernandes this morning secured a spot in the quarterfinals in the juniors tournament at Roland Garros. Against the Hungarian Mate Zsiga, the Brazilian scored 2 sets to 0, 6-1, 6-3.

Even without scoring any ace, Fernandes was consistent in the attack, converting 61 points, 16 more than the opponent. He was also very efficient in converting break points, five of seven. On the other hand, he was broken in just one opportunity.

"I'm very happy to have reached the quarterfinals at Roland Garros. From now on, every game will be seen as a final," said the Brazilian.

In the next round, Fernandes will face Argentine Agustin Velotte, who knocked out Russian Victor Baluda 6-2 7-6 (7-3). Earlier this year, the Brazilian took the championship of juniors tournament of the Australian Open.

If things hold we'll get the match of the juniors tournament: Fernandes vs Mina.

Tiago beat Gianni early this year at the Australian Open in a very close match. However given that this is clay and in France I'd give the edge to Gianni to take it this time.

Both have been playing very well so hopefully we get to actually view this match when it takes place! :yippee:
