He doesn’t need to insult or disrespect his opponent like that. Just do the talk on the court.
This is very tacky, not to mention borderline xenophobic.
He seems dumb saying these things. It’s not a good look.
Tacky... yeah, would agree... somewhat at least. But xenophobic... I don't think so. This is how I personally see it: Tsitsipas is from Greece; Tiafoe says he wants that 'Greek yoghurt' meaning sth Tiafoe has no problem with taking on; Greek yoghurt = tasty, easy to eat, sth most people have no problem tackling i.e. eating. That's all there is to it IMO. But yeah, I'd agree this wasn't the best of banters. But I very much doubt Tiafoe meant it as some specific insult or a xenophobic remark. Just, as said, some in his mind funny banter or pep talk (to boost his spirit; that a comeback will still be easy / match isn't by any means lost).

What's the problem exactly with this statement?
My sentiment exactly.

A thick and creamy Greek yogurt is finger-licking good last time I tasted it.

What offends and bothers incels on the internet is always surprising. Makes you wonder from what godforsaken planet they crawled out of

It's ultimately a silly joke with no actual malice to it. The problem is the double standard as I doubt Tsitsipas calling Tiafoe a chocolate bar would've been received good-naturedly as well (no matter how many BS arguments one might employ to argue how "different" it is, it's really not).
How on earth is that related to both Tsitsi and yoghurt being Greek?

Why would Tsitsipas call Tiafoe a Chocolae bar? What's Tiafoe's connection with Belgium or Switzerland?

True... the reference should be a hamburger, a PB&J sandwich or sth to that effect... some American staple. But I do think calling Tiafoe a 'chocolate chip cookie' (= another American staple) could've potentially stirred up a storm in this day and age. Or it's probably almost guaranteed to have been the case.

Just substitute whatever chocolate trademark is the most popular in the US I guess. snickers, mars, twix, I dunno.
