Thomas Behrend, one of the true legends of the game, will retire next week after the Aachen challenger. I've only found this short notice so far, but it comes from a reliable source. Wonder with whom Kas will team up now?

Anyway, happy retirement Thomas! :)

very sad

enjoy the retirement with your family Thomas
Behrend was a good player in tight situations.
One of his best wins against Ferrero in Palermo-QF 2005: Ferrero wasted three match points on serve at 5:3 in the second set and 4:0 lead in the third set  Behrend had won 6-7(2) 7-6(4) 7-5 and reached first and last semifinal of an ATP tournament.
