That's nothing new. Originally Wimbledon only included points from grass tournaments for seeding purposes, but changed the procedure to accomodate the players who would've been seeded if their non-grass points were used. Nadal isn't the first to complain, but given the timing it's clear his criticism mainly stems from the fact that he can potentially meet Djokovic in the semifinal instead of the final. And after last year, Nadal will be more convinced of his chances to win another Wimbledon than ever in these past few years.

Nadal's last 6 results at Wimbledon:

R2, R1, R4, R2, R4, SF

For a guy who has mostly been a hopeless mug on grass since 2011, he should be happy that he is seeded as high as #3 for Wimbledon. If it was up to me, he won't be seeded in the top 8.

I can see where this is coming from. He probably has to go through djokovic and federer now to win the title. Seeing their form and comparing it to other potential threats on grass there is really no way around it unless a minor miracle happens. Anderson is in dire form almost lost to Norrie then got breadsticked by Simon. Cilic was exposed by grass goat Schwartzman. Isner is injured and raonic is a ticking time bomb anyway and his form isn’t stellar either, who can potentially beat the two on their way to the semis? It’s a big difference being in the same half with djokovic/federer or Anderson so it makes sense because he would probably play some mug in the semis then with Anderson’s dire form.

But on the other hand a QF appearance in queens or Halle would’ve been enough to regain the 2nd seed so he should really stop whining

No, originally Wimbledon had a committee that decided the seeds. They could use literally whatever criteria they wanted. It sucked, and many players voiced their displeasure. So now we have this system.

I was pretty sure he couldn't deal with the #1/#2 seeding of Djokovic and Federer as he was hoping them to play each other in the semis. Wouldn't rule out a walkover for the tournament or maybe a retirement after checking out how things develop first. With Djokovic and Federer in different halves (which is admittedly the only fair seeding for this tournament as they are the two best grasscourters by quite a margin), Nadals winning chances have decreased to an absolute minimum now and he probably choses to rest himself for some other golden opportunities.

He knew the score Wimbledon's done this for long enough, it's his own fault for not playing any grass court events, he could have easily got the #2 seed but chose not to.

Who knows anyway? The draw may work out better for him early on.

The only one who has no shame is you, OP.

Nadal disagreed in a respectable, freedom of speech manner.

There was nothing shameful or shameless about it.

Not a manner of shame.

The only things that he has not complained about (yet) are the values of the gravitational constant and hydrogen:helium ratio of the sun.

Of course it’s unfair, Federer has done nothing of note this year and yet is rewarded with a 2nd seeding and a chance to play Anderson in the semis while Nadal has to go through Djokovic and Federer. Didn’t Nadal make the semi final last year and Federer knocked out in the quarter finals to Anderson? So Federer wins MM tournaments And is rewarded with a 2nd seed. Nadal and Djokovic are the two best players at the moment you want them meeting in the final not in the semis.

And if Wimbledon want to go off atp ranking points as well as grass court points they should be looking at the race to see who’s been the best player so far this year. That currently goes Nadal, Djokovic, Federer.

Ah right so in 2005,2006,2007,2008,2010,2011,2012 and 2014 Nadal just hopped on the wrong bus did he and accidentally ended up at a grass court event?

You can't even make up excuses competently.
EVEN assuming that your argument is legitimate, in 2014 Rafa was 28 years old. At 33 he has much more concerns about a proper break between 2 majors.

But again, LOGIC seems to go missing when trolls rule.
