W: Djokovic def Federer

USO: Nadal def Medvedev

AO: Djokovic def Thiem

Change the result of 1-2 points (especially the W final, for obvious reasons) and the slam count could like:

Federer:21
Nadal:18
Djokovic:15

Only one went against Fed: Wimbledon.

Well, true, but the previous two 5-setters were in Federer's favour
AO 2018: Federer def Cilic
AO 2017: Federer def Nadal

If Federer had lost those, the current slam count would be
Nadal 20
Federer 18
Djokovic 17

We can also go back further in time:
Wim 2014: Djokovic def Federer
USO 2012: Murray def Djokovic
AO 2012: Djokovic def Nadal
USO 2009: Del Potro def Federer
Wim 2009: Federer def Roddick
AO 2009: Nadal def Federer
Wim 2009: Nadal def Federer
Wim 2008: Federer def Nadal

If all 5-set finals involving the big 3 had been won by the other player, the slam count would be now:
Federer 21
Nadal 19
Djokovic 14

Altogether, this just once more confirms how little can make the difference in slam counts in the end.

+1

To OP :
It is really strange to analyze the whole Tennis World from Federer Legacy angle of view.
It should be really exhausting to hope a bad performance from Nadal and Djokovic every match...

Calm down, Take a break,

It is obvious that it should be extremly close SlamNumber wise and [email protected]#1 wise and every fan base could keep on claiming and find blatant and discutable reasons why its Heroe is the best.

History of Life, change some key moments by some "seconds" or some "microns", and no water or no life on Earth or a totally different one.
Change which sperm cell entered ovum and no Nadal no Federer or no Djokovic.

Small changes can have had huge after effects even more if counting butterfly effect, but they did not happen.

Not really, its silly to put federers legacy perspective on every little thing. Other than wimbledon(which federer blew) he had little say in them and the last 2 finals had nothing to do with him.
