I did notice that. It's just players are not even trying to serve and volley. Why bother. Don't kid yourself though. Grass going fast is good for Nole too :D

There is red clay under the grass. Noticed that too.

Doesn't matter since Nadal will be done after tomorrow.
Why is it all about Nadal? If the grass would remain grass it makes a difference for everyone.

Honestly, they should just make it clay and get it done with... 3rd day and grass is already long gone.

Bet your house and your life savings on it then! But it takes balls, not a coward keyboard warrior :wavey:

They're trying out a more durable grass variant. Perhaps it will be more resilient from now on. Or perhaps they got the wrong bag of seeds when they planted it....

Court looks quite slow yeah, Djokodal era in full force here remember- also looking quite dry and warm there so that adds to the conditions even more. Not good to see.

Agreed that tennis started on grass but what else did they have at that time.

Times have moved on and we now have new surface technologies ... time to move on to better surfaces such as clay and plex !

All the winters is the same: how is possible that we have such cold weather!?

And when summer arrives, this heat is ridiculous!

Is this true? It would explain why it is substantially slower this year in the first few days, remember last year everyone was slipping which show that the court were slick and faster. Of course it leads to upsets and they probably didn't like it. Sick of this.
