Edberg holds the lifetime head to head edge over Lendl at 14-13. These guys really went at each other, with Edberg winning their last four meetings.

In slams, Edberg holds the edge 5-4. Interestingly, Lendl beat Edberg one time on Edberg's favorite surface at Wimbledon in the semifinals, in 1987, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6, 6-4. Also at the final of the Australian Open in 1990, Edberg retired in the third set. Can someone fill me in on this? What happened?

I think overall, Edberg had one of the most beautiful games ever. Magnificent to watch this guy play. He should have won more slams.

I loved Edberg, one of the greatest players ever to watch. Gorgeous game. It is sad he didn't get more slams.

Him and Ivan had a great rivalry :)
