In refrence to Murray recieving wildcard into cinncy, the majority of you don't agree, the guy is British which gives him a certain advantage in terms of putting himself in the global market, is that his fault?? alot of you guys seem to think it's because he is british, don't talk rubbish the reason is he played two great matches on Centre court at Wimbledon against two top 15 players Nalbandian and Stepenek which the world saw, so he has more exposure than most other kids at his age that's why he has jumped the cue ahead of Djokovic and simalar young good players, is thet Murray's fault he is lucky he is a Brit and in England they hold one of the biggest event's in the world witch the world watches, so Murray is now known to be the guy who should of beat Nalbandian.

I can see some anger that players who are not as fortunate as Murray i.e Djokovic but that's life, tennis is a business these event's are giving Murray wildcard's because he has exposure because of Wimbledon, events such as cinny want to see him there.

Also wildcards should be given to up and coming players who need a break in tennis to make there move not Just Murray but other young promising players, it's only good for the game, for instance take the Rogers Cup, the Canadians gave most of there tennis team wild card's with an avarage age of 27 and average ranking of 242, one guy was ranked over 900 in the world??? i mean what is the point, obviously give a couple of your countryman chances that's fine, but to improve tennis we need young improving guys rather than guys who are going to beat 1 and 1 in the first round.

As for the guy Galaxystorm, you have issues, you think Murray has no talent??? The guy has been playing senior tennis since April give him a chance,he has improved from 350 in the world to 130 in the space of 3 months he has beaton Dent Stepanek took Nalbandian to five sets in a GS, also took Johanasen to two tie breaker sets at queens, you have obviously been watching a different player.

Djokovic doesn't need WCs. He will soon be King of the World without them. He show James Cameron who is boss.
Tournaments just haven't heard much about Djokovic. But next year when he becomes #1 in the world and never loses a game to anyone, they will realize their mistake.

Djokovic 4 Eva!
All this controversy over WCs is tiresome. Its been going on for years, people bitching over whoever gets a lot of WCs. I've always been saying that we should just get rid of them. Let every player who doesnt get direct entry qualify, and that'll sort out who deserves it and who doesnt. Of course I know that wont happen due to WCs being there for economic reasons, but that'd be ideal.

I'd personally prefer my faves to qualify rather than be handed places. Djokovic has learnt how to battle and scrap in the qualifying and challengers, he has saved match points, won tough matches, and thats the kind of experience you need, rather than enter tournaments that are way out of your league and then losing first round.
I agree in some respect's, it's hard to judge who to give WC to, but scrapping them is not the answer, certain players need break's in there career's for service to tennis and other criteria's they meet.

Look at Ivanisevic for instance, the guy deserved a WC what he had done for tennis and we went and won Wimbledon on a WC.

I don't know if i agree or disagree with Murray having a WC personally, but it wouldn't be a bad thing at all, do we as tennis fans not want to see competitive matches like the Nalbandian match at Wimbledon. If your refering to Murray not being good enough to play in the Us Open, totally disagree, but if you mean handing wildcard's to 15 year old kid's and old men who have been hovering around the 100-200 mark most of there career yes i agree, but you always have to make exceptions for certain players, whether it's injury(Blake) or confidence and bad form(Ivanisavic) and before anyone say's i am contridicting myself with Ivanisavic, he has done enough in his career in my eyes to claim a WC, rather than maybe Bogmolov Jnr who could possibly get one in the US.

In a thread I saw something with Murray for USO WC in trade with Wimbledon. As Wimbledon gave Blake 1 so USO should give Murray 1.
As i said earlier Fed express, i think even if there wasn't a deal, they will take that on board when giving out WC, so that's why i have strong feelings he is going to get one. The signs are good!!!!!

Yeah I see your point with the Ivanisevics and the Blakes, and thats why I think we should still have qualifying, and maybe they can get qualifying WCs. If they are ready to play again then they will qualify, and in his Wimby 2001 form Ivanisevic would have qualified anyway if he'd got a WC into qualifying.

As it stands now, players who get WCs give the least competitive matches of the tournament and qualifiers who always put up a better fight and win matches, because they've had the match experience under their belt, so qualifying is better off for everyone IMO.
when will the WCbe given?
