Welp, no now Federer adds Rome to MC with 0-4 Final record

Sometimes, the best opportunity for you to win a particular title is the first..Nadal's Miami'05 loss from 2-0 sets-up will wind up being his best, so too will Federer's Rome defeat to Mantilla 12 years ago....

Not really. Mantilla won easily. 2006 was undoubtedly the closest.

Are there any other places Roger has lost 4 finals and never won the event? Monte Carlo aside

best chance was 2013, but he failed to end the SF soon enough.

Would probably add RG'13 SF as that was unanimously considered the REAL Final..Djokovic could be said to have lost 5 matches that were Finals in their own right if we are going to add the 2008 semis with him being the only player that took peak Claydal to a tiebreak....

2013: Federer 6-0, 7-6(7)
2015: Federer 7-6(1) 6-3

5th final including 3 losses to Federer. I don't think any other player hasn't won a tournament after losing the final 3 times to the same player.
Federer, Monte Carlo, 2006-2008?
