We the Spaniards are the GOATs of vulturing weak clay tournaments. ATP tournaments are vultured by our Armada (brigade) these days but our favourite tournaments have always been Futures and Challengers.

However, the biggest vulturing in the list is the one of Federer

It's an even between Frauderer in Istanboooool and Nadull in Hamburrrrg.
Both were weak fields, both almost botched their easy titles, both were classless afterwards.

About even as I stated.

Instanbul, of course. In fairness to Federer, he did routine Djokovic in the Dubai 500 final, so he doesn't really need to fight against weak fields to pick up points despite his advanced age.

I guess Murray should have rearranged his wedding to play in Monte-Carlo rather than Munich, just to avoid being accused of vulturing by pseudonymous internet posters.

Kukushkin at the Astana Challenger.

Opponents faced on his way to the title: Chung #1325, Kalovelonis #858, Molchanov #333, Popko #391 and Donskoy #177.

Pathetic.

Nadal in BA, he played Monaco in the final FFS. Next one was Federer in Istanbul.

Monaco is a more accomplished clay court player than Cuevas who Fed beat in Istanbul...

Cheatalita in Hamburg followed by cheatalita in BA and Vulture in Rio. Istanbul at least had more than 1 top 20 player.

Not in the last 2 years, and Nadal is a horrible matchup for Monaco. Cuevas had a chance against Federer, Monaco had no chance against Nadal.

So the fact that Nadal played better and had an easier win is now an argument against him?
Btw, Nadal didn't chose his final opponent before he entered the tournament...he easily could have met a worse match-up for him.

Probably Nadal in Hamburg on account of it's not even the proper clay season, more the post-W clay swing that Fed attempted to vulture 2 years ago.

Ferrer was just doing what Ferrer does and Murray and Federer were prepping for RG. Given Murray followed up with a masters the week after it's hilarious anyone would select him here.

I guess you could agrue that he skipped MC on purpose to play himself into form in MM Munich which helped him to win a Masters.
