The Bandy Wagon Picking Up Steam

The past two weeks have been great ones for David fans. I want to dedicate this thread to David's incredible play. Winning two Masters shields will be a tremendous accomplishment, and we hope he can pull it off.

If he does, he's right back in the top 10 at #9 and could receive an invitation to Shanghai should a qualifier withdraw. We all know what happened last time this scenario occurred. With his hot form, it is possible that he could finish the year with a bang.

For now, let's enjoy being on the Bandy Wagon while it's rolling and picking up steam.

Right back into the top 10
Will he be ranked #9 if he wins?

Good luck against Nadal.
I really hope one of qualified players would withdraw.
Tiff, it's called the Nalbandwagon.
Tiff, it's called the Nalbandwagon.
Hey, I like Bandy Wagon better! :D
And just for you, I'll call it that.
Tiff, it's called the Nalbandwagon.
Bandywagon sounds better :D

But let's enjoy david playing well, it's not usual to watch him on sunday, so vamos david ! :D
Re: The Nalbandwagon Picking Up Steam

Anyhoo, we should keep this thread forever and ever...and ever because the David we know is back in the building.

Amen to that. It took David a long time to find that damn building again but he's back and boy do the other players know it. :worship:
Re: The Nalbandwagon Picking Up Steam

The Bandy Wagon has officially broken down. Some people will have to form a line and walk alongside the wagon as it's being pushed through Paris and beyond, flags in hand shouting "Long Live the King."
Re: The Nalbandwagon Picking Up Steam

Long live the king. Amen to that!

so many freaking new fans, it is quite hilarious. I'm loving it.
Re: The Nalbandwagon Picking Up Steam

I'm loving all the new fans too. It's sooo funny.
Re: The Nalbandwagon Picking Up Steam

I'm still finding his new nickname, "Fit Dave" hilarious.

That bump of the thread containing Uncle Toni's quotes is a good one too.
Re: The Nalbandwagon Picking Up Steam

It's 1AM here and I was going through GM. I end up thinking I was a bit high because I'm taking some new pills who let's say, keep me a tad bit awake. But nope, it's not the pills it is actually happening. Pretty much every single thread is about our guy. And not bashing, but worshiping.

MTF is THE Wonderland.
Re: The Nalbandwagon Picking Up Steam

I hope he does not lose in the first round of the AO because it would be such a dissapointment. And we all know he's capable of that.

At least he shows some consistency in the Slams. Now that he qualifies for a higher seeding, he won't run into the higher-ranked guys until at least the RO16.
Re: The Nalbandwagon Picking Up Steam

I wonder how he will deal with the pressure and expectation next year.

With a seeding of 9, he won't be running into a top 4 seed until the quarter-finals which is great, it would be someone 5-8 in the 4th round.

Yeah, that's true. To be honest, I really think he can have a good run next year in the AO. Last AO, he made us suffer unnecesarily with those 5-setters but he was not 100% fit. Next year, it should be a different story.

And more confident. If he can carry this form into 2008, he will be a strong force to be reckoned with.

Yeah, the expectations will change, but I think he will rise to the occasion.

Same here. He usually does pretty well in the Grand Slams when he's in form and confident. I don't think I recall a time when he played very well leading into a GS then lost early, then again he was very consistent in most Grand Slams for a long while.
