The 2007 Challenger Player of the Year
Welcome everyone!
Last year Guillermo Cañas was elected the Challenger player of the year, after he racked up some titles in Latin America at the end of the year, and rose from unranked to #143 after his suspension.
This year we have seen many turbulent events on the Challenger Tour, with many former Top 100 players finding their way back to the Challengers (Kunitsyn, Hernych, Hajek, Daniel, Pashanski) and many Challenger players clawing their way up to the ATP Tour (Tsonga, Zverev, Gulbis, Sela). Moreover, the changing team of moderators has also come across an interesting mixture of tennis freaks, zealous betters and people who are fluent in languages other than English (particularly Russian, Czech, Ukrainian, Italian, Spanish).
To end the year in style, we will have a poll on who will succeed Cañas as the best Challenger player of the year. Because there was quite some consternation last year as to who were included, but particularly as to who were excluded (Bogdanovic :bolt:
), you are now offered the chance to debate who should be part of the nine in the poll (the tenth option will be 'Other').
In doing so, please be guided by the following questions:
Later, this thread will contain a poll and also an introduction of all the players that made it into the poll.

In doing so, please be guided by the following questions:
Who has taken the most titles? Who has won the toughest tournaments? Who has the highest win/loss ratio? Who did the best on all surfaces? Whose game has proven to be most consistent? Who excelled in both singles and doubles? Who has caught your attention?
And not by questions of nationalism and fanaticism.
