:singer: Adam's Daily TT Commentary - Quarter Final Report :singer:
GustavoM_Fan is set to be hauled in front of the Tennis Tipping authorities after complaints that he tanked his singles Quarter-Final match against TankingTheSet in order to focus on the doubles event. The Argentinian fell behind early on, mainly due to some inspired play by his opponent but after dropping the opening set, there seemed to be little fight left in him, much to the disgust of the crowd who booed him off the court. TankingTheSet refuted the suggestions, saying it may have looked that way but in actual fact it's because he's "invincible" at the moment, a comment which makes even Roger Federer seem humble. Other TT players were more brutal in their assessment of GustavoM_Fan, with ExcaliburII feeling the need to fax a message over from Stuttgart to call his old friend "an idiot".
In other news, JeffCandoi has made it onto the top 10 most wanted list in South America after taking out another one of their stars, this time edging out Aguante_el_Gato. Despite falling behind early on, the Brazilian showed GustavoM_Fan the art of fighting back, and completed an epic victory, saving 3 match points to give Polish fan Voo De Mar the most excitement he's had in many years. Incredibly, he will now face a 3rd straight Argentine, as he now squares off against scarface for a place in the final. After initially relying on his gangster connections to use scare tactics on his opponents, scarface now seems to have developed an impressive Tennis Tipping game and now has eyes on reaching the top 50. Although Gavnich77 put up some resistance, the occasion got the better of him and he looked nervy in his biggest match for 62 years. In the last remaining Quarter Final match, lucho_coria edged past Crocodile to increase his hopes of reaching the top 100, a dream which will be fulfilled should he go on to claim the title here.
Luckily for GustavoM_Fan, his decision to tank singles was vindicated as he teamed up with Nando_L to reach the last 4, bursting the hopes of balloon and Gavnich77. They are the only remaining seeds left in the draw, as virex/Aimee were tactically outwitted by scarface/trucul. Despite the loss, the Brazilian/American combination can leave the tournament pleased after being voted the hottest partnership at the tournament by the fans, many of whom described them as "TT's answer to Igor Andreev and Maria Kirilenko". Crocodile/KalleOnAir will be heading to a military camp to get in shape after their loss against virtual unknowns Dougie/Salum, and we look forward to seeing KalleOnAir back to his beautiful, slim physique in a couple of days. TankingTheSet/invu2day complete the Semi-Final line up after the Dutchman's ridiculous luck continued when superhoops had to withdraw from the tournament due to family commitments.

Tough Tennis Tipping conditions proved to be a leveller, as a stunning day of upsets in Gstaad left the tournament without a seed left in the draw. Top seed marcelwks was stunned by Gavnich77, as the TT veteran rolled back the years to reach his first Quarter Final since colour televisions were invented. The match wasn't the best quality but proved to be highly exciting as the Austrian, who has slumped to 123rd in the world rankings, edged out the Pole who is ranked over 100 places above him. 2nd seed KalleOnAir also fell, finding it tough to cope with 2 matches in 2 days with his new bigger build and was easily beaten by GustavoM_Fan. The Argentinian has been in a strangely subdued mood this week, with many observers noting that without the bad influence of ExcaliburII by his side he seems more focused on his matches, and with boyfriend and part-time kostas kastoria in his players box he is looking inspired. The German on the other hand has many questions to answer, as his army of female fangirls flooded onto his website, stating they would no longer support him unless he cut out the beer and got his six-pack back. However, in his post match interview he said he wasn't too upset to go out and looked forward to visiting Gstaad's many bars and strip clubs.
Fans were left hugely displeased after witnessing a disgusting match between invu2day and lucho_coria, with many requesting their money back after sitting through a match which will go down in cagon TT history. The match was so poor that this commentator refuses to say anything about it. Crocodile will be expected to take out lucho_coria, as he booked a place in the Quarter Final with a comprehensive win over 3rd seed propaganda. With little energy left after carrying KalleOnAir to an epic doubles win over bye, the Frenchman was ruthless as he got off to a strong start and never relinquished it.
On-fire scarface continued his excellent run by taking out Dougie, extending his winning streak to 7 matches. The South American domination of Gstaad was complete with both Aguante_el_Gato and JeffCandoi reaching the last 8. Viewers got their first chance to see newcomer Gallina in action, but were still unable to determine which sex the Argentine was, as s/he had hair which resembled Gaston Gaudio's. JeffCandoi also seemed unsure, stating only that he knew Gallina was a Boca Juniors fan. TankingTheSet was the last man to reach the Quarter Finals, ending hopes of a Swiss winner with a gutsy toppling of Nando_L. The Dutchman remains in the bad books of the tournament director though, after his poor sportsmanship in Turin last week where he over-celebrated a victory against a clearly traumatised opponent in the final.

:singer: Adam's Daily TT Commentary - Round 1 Report :singer:
It was a quiet opening to the Allianz Suisse Open as many of the players seemed disinterested in our small little mickey mouse tournament after the excitement of Wimbledon. With none of the top 10 playing here, crowds were disappointingly low but thankfully GustavoM_Fan’s appearance kept the numbers respectful, with many Swiss fans relishing the chance to see some quality TT after being continually let down by their hero Roger Federer, who is more known for his cagon TT these days. The Argentine didn’t disappoint and looked impressive in his high quality victory over Superior1.
Top seed marcelwks looked to have a tricky match on paper, but superhoops couldn’t live up to his pre-match talk as the Pole eased through to the second round. He’ll now face Gavnich77 for a place in the Quarter-Final after the Austrian ended a barren singles run to claim his first victory since Miami by defeating egiorazz. It was a huge relief for the Welsh born star who has clearly been suffering from the curse of being on the TT board, with fellow member adee-gee also being struck by this unfortunate jinx which results in you losing every singles match. Britain’s invu2day was clever enough to resign from his position on the board when he realised what was happening, and his decision reaped instant rewards when he battled past qualifier Mincheff.
2nd seed KalleOnAir looked thrilled with his day’s work, and it was indeed a truly monumental effort as he claimed victory in both singles and doubles. Opponent gagm put up a brilliant fight but could not derail the German, and even the mighty bye had no answer in doubles. There was also a win in singles for his partner Crocodile, and the Frenchman claimed much of the praise for their epic doubles win, stating that KalleOnAir is out of shape and needs to cut out the beer. Despite the large stomach, KalleOnAir still managed to entertain the crowds with a little dance, proving to the likes of David Nalbandian that there is still hope for him to be able to pull of such moves.
Argentina’s new TT hope - Gallina continued his/her dream start to a career by upsetting guille&tati4life to reach the last 16. Having jumped straight into an ATP event without even playing a challenger, we are unable to even state whether the newcomer is male or female, as the match took place on a court with no cameras. However, with a second round all South American clash against the wonderful JeffCandoi, we will surely be able to get a closer look at the rookie as this will surely be on a show court. Nando_L delighted the home fans with a stunning performance as he defeated Duncan, and TankingTheSet saw off stealthisnick in a match filled with needle, as both players recalled a dispute they had last year. Sadly, the tournament waved farewell to its 2 hottest stars Aimee and virex, though they will undoubtedly receive a lot of support from their fanboys and fangirls in the doubles competition where they team up.
