Completely expected, Thiem's game simply doesn't translate to grass, he will never be better than Wawrinka on it.

Great result for Mischa which will help him get his ranking back up (he's #502 at the moment). His game is made for grass although the next round Seppi/Becker will be tricky.

Thiem seems incapabable of adapting his game to grass.

Shortening your swings is not exactly an easy task and given the grass court season lasts only 5 weeks it's not a good idea to try and change your technique too much during that time.

Obv. he needs to work on his return which would certainly help him a lot on grass too.
You are desperately making excuses for his lack of ability.

There are many claycourt players who have techniques not exactly suited to grass that have adapted their games and found success on the surface. Even Vesely made R3 of Wimbledon last year without playing a warm-up event.

Looks like Thiem still sucks on grass. Last year he failed to won a match.

But losing to Misha Zverev? The guy lost 6-0 6-0 to Federer.

Vesely's not a clay courter. He just had a lot of success on clay, because that's where the most challenger level tournaments are played.

Looks more like Muster than Wawrinka on grass so far. Funny Austrians struggle so on the surface, neighbouring Swiss does somewhat better.

There is an Austrian three-time Wimbledon champion on the court right now :p

It's grass after all, so every person who knows something about tennis, would have known that Dominic will lose for sure. But someone like you doesn't have a clue

"for sure" lol

Zverev returning 3m behind the baseline, Thiem had enough time to build points and it was on his racket.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not in the least surprised, but that doesn't take away the fun of it ;)

You better start preparing the excuses for his losses after Wimbledon. Grass season is pretty short :wavey:

Are we talking about Thiem or Tomic?
