Bracciali and Starace found guilty of match fixing, have been banned for life by the Italian Federation

UPDATE
and four months later:

Daniele Bracciali and Potito Starace have had their life bans for match-fixing lifted by the Italian tennis federation.

The federation's appeals court decided Saturday to clear Starace entirely and reduce Bracciali's ban to one year.

Bracciali's fine was also reduced by half to 20,000 euros ($22,500).

An initial ruling by the federation in August was based on a probe by judicial authorities in Cremona, where the players still face likely charges of criminal association.

In 2007, Bracciali allegedly discussed fixing a match in Newport, Rhode Island, with an accountant who was later arrested.

In 2011, an owner of a betting parlor later arrested was allegedly heard saying Starace agreed to fix the result of a Casablanca final.

Starace's career-high ranking was 40th in 2012, while Bracciali reached 49th in 2006.

Starace was a good player, no? Miserably.

Nah, it was a technical suspension for betting 10 euros on people for fun.

Of course, both were extremely well known as fixers their entire careers though.

Too little too late. They've already experienced their corrupt careers to the max, nothing will come out of putting a 34 and 37 year old out to pasture.

Hopefully Golubev and Nedovyesov are next.
Match fixing in tennis exists and will never dissapear.

That would require the Kazakh Federation suspending them, since the ITF has the same level of corruption as FIFA. Note that Starace and Bracciali got banned by the Italian Federation, which is more than the ITF has ever done, while there have been at least fifty fixers just as blatant as Starace and Bracciali in the past decade.

I really don't expect Kazakh Federation to do something.
And from fifty I would raise to at least 100 fixers, maybe more.
The prizes in lower level tournaments are pathetic, they've got to do something to earn some money.
