Why is Puschkin so bitter
Because Gasquet was the talented French that beat Nadal in juniors and was supposed to win multiple slams, whilst Stan was the man who was in the shadow of his compatriot and was going to have a mediocre career winning 250's and perhaps the odd 500... but then he became THE MAN, won a slam and a MS1000.

Yeah, thanks for reminding us that Stan >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Gasquet.

If you compare Stan's current race points to those the race leader in previous years, it is not at all impressive.
Race leaders on this Monday in the tennis calendar:
2014: Stan, 3535 points
2013: Novak, at least 3950 points (may be a little more with DC, not sure)
2012: Novak, 4140 points
2011: Novak, 4750 points
2010: AndyR, 2450 points
2009: Rafa, 3605 points

Looks a bit low, but not too much (along the lines of 2009 Rafa, and not like Andy in 2010, anyways). Only Novak in 2011 is TRULY impressive. 3535 points is no slouch, though - it's only 195 points fewer than Stan achieved in the entirety of 2013, after all.
