Doesn't Grigor Dimitrov play in this tournament. After all, it is his home country?

Seems quite likely Berrettini and Rublev will take WCs here if battling for last London spot

He was supposed to play on the original dates, however he did not apply for the rescheduled. The organizers said that they'll be keeping one of the 3 wild cards until the last moment for him.

Rublev will play qualifiers as per Bulgarian media today. I doubt they will give more than one WC to non-bulgarian players. Expect Andreev and Kuzmanov to get WC if Dimitrov refuses.

I'd bet that they'll end up giving Rublev a MDWC anyway.

If Novak Djokovic doesn't win the ATP 500 Tournament in Vienna, then the only way Rafael Nadal could overtake him to be year ending World Number One is to win the Paris-Bercy 1000 Masters, then apply for a wildcard in this tournament and win and finally win the year ending ATP Finals in London. I know at this moment in time, the chances are almost slim to none. But this could be the only way possible!

Would be really surprising if Schwartzmann Monfils Shapovalov or Fognini play there....

And Anderson just injured himself in Vienna....

Field will be unfortunately way weaker.....

No Paire, no Mannarino? I am sad considering they could have added ranking points and put them (at least Mannarino) with a chance to be seeded at the Australian Open. Mannarino is already in the finals of Nur-Sultan, he is entered in Paris, I would think he would take his chances and see how well he does. Only the two of them know how their body is feeling....

Andrey Rublev is down to play in the qualies in Sofia? I would be very very surprised if he didn't withdraw as he just won the ATP 500 tourney in Vienna which he has know qualified for the Nitto Tour Finals in London 2 weeks from now. He is playing in Paris-Bercy this week, so surely it would be silly if he was to even play in Sofia, especially now that he has qualified for the end of season tournament?

Kuzmanov is reportedly injured and could miss Sofia Open. Andreev and Lazarov top candidates for MDWC with Donski also in contention if Kuzmanov is a no-go.
