It's quite funny how it's been the same story for about 3 years now. No doubt after Djokovic wins one of the clay masters it will start again.

Djokovic was the favourite because of Nadal's poor form during the clay season. That was the first time Nadal had a bad clay season.

But the first rounds of the tournaments showed that Nadal was ready to win. Nadal is only targeting the slams now.

No it wasn't.

Losing to Ferrer in MC and Almagro in Barcelona was unthinkable. He won Madrid but was being outplayed by Nishikori before the jap got injured. Roma was better but he still lost.

His clay season was awful with an horrible level of play. It was very worrying.
