Simple question really and give your reason.

For me this guy has the PERFECT blend between attack and defence and is mentally fairly tough. World class forehand and drags players all over and out of position, constructs the point smartly and a pretty good serve to boot. A fairly talented player. I reckon he can squeeze a top 30 spot with the odd 250 and 500 series title.

Lack of mental toughness is the reason he won't get too high. His game is definitely good enough for Top 30.

top-40 is absolutely possible, hopefully he stays fit and won't get injured again.

top 40 is feasible, but it would take some stability in his results, which hasn't been the case in his career ever.

I can only hope, i like his style, but further than top 40 this season means some incredible and surprising results, which surprises at this stage of one's career rarely happen.

Try watching his matches for longer than 2 minutes. The Robredo meltdown was a one off and in a sense understandable, but you can't categorise him as being mentally weak after one incident.

I think the problem is like you say, consistency. Roberto Bautista Agut isn't even that talented, yet the bloke has made the top 20. Simply because of his consistency and the fact he figures out a way to beat players before adjusting his shot choice to target their weakness. Bolleli is a kind of guy that strikes over as someone that just plays the way he does and can and feels if he excutes that, that'll be enough. He probably needs a little bit of tactical work.

he's not the only one to have a miserable record against the top 10. staying injury free he can make top 30 for sure.
 He has a poor record against the top 10 players in the world, whilst being ranked at number 52. He has to be mentally weak.

i assume he's referring to this thread (and other classically-Italian based rumours over the years): http://www.menstennisforums.com/showthread.php?t=542010

as for the thread, top 20 potential, has reached top 40 before but a coin flip whether or not he manages to at least match his career-high (just outside top 30). i am surprised that he hasn't snuck at least one or two top 10 victories - when he redlines his game it's huge. that forehand can be devastating - completely bosses the court.

Do you think he's even better than Indian wonderkid Nagal?
Nagal is going far. You'll see this kid challenging for claycourt honours on the main tour within say, 6 years. He's got the minerals. You seen him play?

Bolelli one of those rare Italians who can play on any surface, he has almost no points to defend until late April so it's certain thing he will keep improving his rankings and may reach new career high (was 36th in the world) and even break into top30. But the question if he can stay there.

Honestly, I don't see Bolelli fullfiling his potential after all these years. Should have been comfortably in top 30 most of his career but if he goes any higher than he is right now I'll be shocked.

Monfed clueless about anyone outside top 5. What a shocker.
