Lets face it, Federer is as close to the French's heart as any of their own. He might as well be their own, and as far as the French are concerned he is. Should they rename the main court after their adopted son? He has after all won the title there, after which the French went into ecstasy. He also made the final on 4 other occasions, more than enough. Should they rename center court after him?

Discuss.

Yeah, right. As if the Frenchies don't have players of their own :help: Would be the lowest any nation can go. They may still do it though :tape:

It is a useless counter to the other useless thread "Should the main court be name after Rafa?".

Nadal would be the logical non French person, if such an action would ever be taken. In reality though, they would never change the name to a non French person, nor should they.
Nadal wouldn't be the logical choice at all, the French like flair players who are classy and Federer fits that bill, besides the French don't really like Nadal...

The chance of Phillip Chartrier ever being renamed is about as likely as Centre Court being renamed. Practically zero.

I really think the only naming that Federer will get is the main show court in Basel.
