Is it a good idea to give players two serving games in a row in the 5th set once its reached 7-6? In tournaments without tie break, of course.
This would let both players alternate being in advantage or disavantage on the set.

Yeah, could be a good thing. But then again, if you break your opponent at 4-5 in the previous set, you deserve to serve first in the next.

Currently all efforts should go in keeping a 5th set tiebreak out. It seems like the idea is gaining ground as is best of three until quarters.

I'm not sure, I think it's just one of those things. If you are serving second in the final set then any match points after 4 all will be on your serve which theoretically should be a good thing.

That will never happen. It's the most idiotic idea ever.

yes, it would be more fair.

until 6-6 serve changes every game.

from 6-6 on the serve should change like in a tiebreak.

so stan serving at 6*-6, then gasquet serving at 7-6* and 7-7* and so on.

serving first in 5th set is just a huge advantage.

Yes, you deserve to start first.
But it cannot be a "punishment" to the other player to be playing always to stay in the match in the decider.
This player will always have the vantage to break until 86, but after this its become nobody's advantage.

Never say never. Many WTA people are pushing for that so then women can play best of 5 from quarters onward without scheduling conflicts. Don't keep too much faith in the sport's higher ups.

amazing idea.... what about serving 2nd in let´s say 4th set when you also are under pressure when you are down 2 sets to 1 and serving 2nd - i don´t know what are the numbers for 5th set if it´s goes beyond 6 all who wins how many times - 1st serving player has huge advantage but no changes please

well, and here comes the coin flip into play.

is breaking to win the set at 5-4* more impressive than breaking at 4-4 and serve it out to 6-4?!

not really...

To make it an even better idea,

They should play the game at *5-6 like after *0-1, change ends without sitting.

Then once 6-6 is reached, change of ends occurs at even games. (So you won't get 1 person serving 2 games each change of end)

6-6 Player A serves, then player B serves sit down change ends
7-7 Player B serves, then player A serves sit down change ends.
