Escopeta was in absolute control in the first set. Dabulin was serving 3-5 0-30.

Then Escopeta made a typical choke of him
He played excellent tennis in the second and third set hitting winners from both backhand and forehand, optimous tennis :yeah:

This should be an easy tournament for him.

man, this guy have 2 shotguns.
best forehand than Gonzalez by far.
and best backhand than Federer but not more than Marcaccio or Gaudio...

I will be cheering for him vs the brasilian André Ghem tomorrow ;)

I was there in the vilas club, the match was good, with some good rallies. Dabul fans were cheering up like crazy for him.Singing football songs but in a tennis court.
It was funny.

Roitman has the perfect record against Nadal, this can't be denied.

Did Escopeta hit big moonballs that would bounce over Dabul's head? Dabul has had his best ever year this season.

I remember watching Dabul beat Monfils at the Roland Garros juniors in 2002. Talk about moon balls in the match.. Monfils was hitting every shot three meters over the net. Dabul was a top rated junior at the time and really impressed me. At that time, he sort of reminded me of Squillari. It's been a long struggle since but now he seems to be on his way to the top 100. Has the fitness been the key problem?
