Granted i like serena but all the trash talk serena fans talk about really must stop!! If im not mistaken this same time last year everyone was talking about how serena needed to step up her game and that she was only talked about b/c she was venus's sister...well she obviuosly stepped up her game but for ppl to think that noone in the near future is going to catch up with her is madness.First of all there are tons of new players that have the tools and motivation to take her out and of course the ppl that have already beaten her in the past.Everyone keeps saying that serena is the real deal and blah blah but IMO she still has alot to prove... like can she maintain this level or will she revert back to old habits after she won the us and fall off the face of the tennis earth. Players like my fav Venus or davenport or even hingis have come out year after year maintaing that high level of play and consistly challenge for titles and for me serena has yet to do that in fact she loses to players she shouldnt more often then davenport or venus ( not saying that they dont loss to ppl they shouldnt)... so while serena fans jump and hollar about her being the second coming im saying just wait to see if shes the real deal before you proclaim her the next graff in terms of domination

Serena fans been touting her since 98. She would often times give us glimpses of her extraordinary ability. After her wins at the 99 Open and the GrandSlam Cup. Many, including yours truly predicted great things for the Princess of Power. But she just had not paid her dues. With winning comes expectation pressures, ask Daniela or Justine. Serena suffered from these pressures for some time. Last year was the turning point. You mentioned she could go back, well donot hold your breath. Enjoy her tennis, tennis which has never been played at this level. Serena is not a fluke, she actually is this good. Will she win every match, hell no, because she is good not invincible.

She won three slams in a row, beat so many top 10 players while winning them, and u don't consider this domination.
Okay maybe if it was one slam, even two, but three in a row?????
When will it ever be enough??
She beat Venus #2 player in the world four straight times.
She beat Jennifer #3 player in the world FIVE straight times
Among others, Justine Henin two times in a row, Kim 4 times in a row...etc......
THESE ARE ALL PLAYERS IN THE TOP 10, who should be giving her trouble and winning sometimes. Not to mention her consistent wins agains Davenport(three in a row), and Martina Hingis(three in a row), and it is not like she is staying at the same level, she is improving, while other players are falling considerbly, Lindsay and Monica need to shed more weight to keep up with Serena, Jennifer is losing to Serena because Serena does everything better then Jennifer, EVERYTHING. Venus needs to want to win again as badly as she did two years ago, Martina needs to do just about everything...Justine and Kim are having too many off days this year. Amelie though has been playing good and it would be a good match in LA against Serena I think.

Serena will lose, no doubt, afterall she is human, but she doesn't lose much, and when u look at the rankings u will see that it shows, ahead of Venus over 1000 points, ahead of Jennifer over 2000 points!!!!!!!!!!!
Can she keep it up??
Why wouldn't she be able too?
She wants to win more then anybody else on tour, and it doesn't seem to fade a bit, that hunger to be the best, her wanting to improve, and at the end it just matters if she keeps healthy or gets injured.
