There were plenty of reports of such and similar irregularities during the voting process last few years, so his friend didn't say anything I haven't heard time and again. Moreover, he's certainly not the first to compare Serbia to some sort of 'Turkey light', so nothing incorrect there either, whether you like it or not.
Talking about "reports" is completely different than "his friend" "seeing it" as he claims. Also you conveniently left out the rest of my post that proves he talks nonsense.

Anyway, if you don't see the problem with his lies and blabbing about Serbia, your problem, not mine.
I can express my opinion about his malicious and untrue posts. You don't need to jump and be hostile at every and each one of my posts. :smash:

Talk about being hostile, you jumped in here and called another poster clueless, and tried to force him out of the thread for no reason other than disliking what he said. If someone said that to you, I'm sure I'd be seeing reports now "ban him, I was banned for less, lalalala".

Back to the topic, nothing in your post proves anything, you don't have necessarily to be behind anyone's back to see he's holding a cell phone, voting booths have minimum cover and if they didn't turn off flash, then it's visible from a mile away.

Tell me one, ONE reason to lie in this thread. I just wrote what he said to me, do you want voice recording proof or what?

Of course I like Serbia as a whole. We have lots of things/foods in common. I just pointed out one similar trend going on. (For example, -even tho she is just a celebrity and no expert- wife of Beşiktaş player Dusko Tosic, Jelena Karleusa who lives in Istanbul said similar things here on turkish channel, "We don't want dictatorship in my country, Vucic is Erdoganing etc")

Floki/chico, I studied Balkans often in my education, I have been to most of Balkans, have quite a few friends living in the region, while I can't be perfect understanding things as locals like TV and ssin here ofc, but I can certainly observe and share my thought accordingly.

I will not vote until that time I see that the opposition work seriously and hard. I never voted Vucic but have no problem saying that he currently displays more savvy and is overall a better option than the caffe latte drinkers. The funny thing is, it is a notorious fact that during the Democrat President Tadic we really used to have a puppet PM. It was a common joke in Serbia.

Appreciate it :) Enjoying your -always- informative posts here, regarding US, Serbia or elsewhere.

Back on topic, what do you think about Vuk Jeremic? He came across as a cool/young/energic politician to me when he was FM, especially his excellent english, but he got disappointed badly I guess in the last election.

Do you see any future for him?

I personally don't like the guy, he was a Tadic protege and foreign minister who played on Serbian nationalism . That is the problem with the left here. They always feel they have to prove something to the nationalists.

He ran for presidency this year and despite all the money they put in the campaign, failed miserably. His future is running some NGO, or maybe some political position if the democratic opposition manage to unite. Yes, he is not a very popular man in Serbia right now.

Jeremic is left just like Hilary Clinton is left. That is wrong kind of "left" that is not really "left".

Of course he failed. Who in their right mind would vote for him after his shenanigans and corruption while in UN.
And if the democratic opposition relies on people like him, they will fail.

I don't trust him and have a good reasons to believe he is not well intentioned here. Just that.

You should not talk about my reports, which are all true BTW, here. It is off-topic and rude. Also your involvement here is not adding anything to the thread so instead tormenting me for no reason, please leave us alone to talk politics here.

Thank you.
You have no right to tell anyone here to leave the thread or otherwise what to do, and if you keep trying to kick people out of this thread, you may end up the one kicked out.

I'm not familiar with the corruption thing, he is not that known for corruption here, but I have to admit I am not really that much into the local political scene because I think it is hopeless for the time being.

Yes, our Democrat Party, a member of the Socialist International, is left on paper only. I guess it is comparable to Hillary to some extent. But in the US there is no left in European sense anyway.

Many on the left here just assume they can proclaim lofty ideals and goals, noble ends, while doing nothing or just abusing position and people are obliged to vote for them because they are 'the good guys'. If not, the people are ignorant. :grin2: Maybe it sounds familiar again.

Yea, don't remember corruption charges against him, other than the general impression he was traveling all over the world/spending money with little or no use at all. His problem is many people saw him as someone who came back here only after he couldn't make as the new Secretary general, with Serbia being some sort of backup option, and no one likes to be second choice. :) However to remove the abomination of the current government party/coalition Serbia's opposition will need every vote it can get, so he's likely to be a part of a broader coalition next time round.

It won't be easy at all with the dominant opposition sport, goldbricking (can't find a proper expression for ladjenje jaja)

I hope your wish will come true, but be careful what you wish for ;) I almost voted for DJB when you asked me to do that last time.

Did I ask you? Haha, completely forgot about that. :p Anyway, for a while now I've sort of stopped expecting anything from the Serbian political scene, when something goes alright it's usually not because of them but despite them, so the most one can hope for is not to come into any contact with the lot. :)

Jeremic is no better than the current regime. No one needs him. Opposition would just lose votes if they include him. Mine first.

They need to get rid of the baggage - i.e. people like Tadic (who is the main culprit Vucic and Dacic are in power now), Jeremic, Ceda, Pajtic, ... and start from scratch.

And DJB :haha: Who in their right mind votes for them? They are just there to split the votes.
