Superstars at DU for MS event
By The Denver Post

Thursday, September 26, 2002 - Tennis superstars Monica Seles and Martina Navratilova will play an exhibition match benefiting multiple sclerosis at the University of Denver's Magness Arena on Thursday, Nov. 14.

The third annual Rebif MS Tennis Classic presented by The Denver Post is a return engagement for Seles, who beat Anna Kournikova in two sets last year. Navratilova this season became the oldest woman to win a match on the WTA Tour, defeating Tatiana Panova in Eastbourne, England.

Money raised from the match will go to the national Multiple Sclerosis Society Colorado Chapter and the Rocky Mountain MS Center.

Preliminary events will include a free clinic for children hosted by the Greenwood Athletic Club, as well as a special appearance from former Sanex WTA Tour player Mary Joe Fernandez or current Tour player Corina Marariu, who recently returned to the Tour following a successful fight against leukemia.

For more information, visit www.rebifmstennis.com, or contact Jill Dithmer at PROXY, 303-293-3020, ext. 263.
