England didn't need to lose here to know they weren't going to win the 6 nations. A dreadful match between two poor teams.

Congrats to the Scots for doing the basics better. Italy will beat Scotland next week. England will beat Ireland.

Then we can all watch the only decent match later when Wales face France for the 6 Nations title (providing France can rack up the points against Italy, otherwise it won't matter if they beat Wales as the points differential will be too big to turnaround).

Unexpected. There seems to be problems in the training camp concerning Capriani. It's just a shocking weekend with Man-United  and Chelsea :yeah: bombing out of the FA Cup

Well done to Scotland :yeah:. I'm very pleased to see them regain the Calcutta Cup.
Ireland are the team that I root for during the Six Nations, but unfortunately they lost to Wales in a hard fought encounter at Croke Park yesterday. Congrats to Wales (who are easily the most passionate nation about rugby in the competition) for clinching the triple crown, and I want them to go on and seal the grand slam now.

Wales could still screw it up though, it's not inconceivable.
I don't think it is. If they lose to France, it won't be by that kind of margin. France beat Scotland by 21, Wales are no Scotland. Before sunday I felt France would beat Italy well and then it would just be a case of winner takes all in Wales.

However, with that ordinary display, I don't see that the French will be that optimistic of their chances to win the 6 Nations, they have far too much to do. And so, where as before they might have gone to Wales and won, I think they are now up against it to win at all, knowing how slim their chances are of winning the 6 Nations even if they do.

France didn't play like a team that had an urgency to score points against Italy. It was almost as if they were not that concerned about the bigger picture. Very strange and disappointing, because next weekend's game could have been a real cracker.

Now the destination of the 6 Nations is practically decided. There is no way Gatland/Edwards will allow Wales to capitulate in front of a jubilant home crowd. Wales will win the match unless France decide to fire on all cylinders. And if they do, it only makes you wonder why they didn't show the same attitude/application against Italy.
