Tennis can be a funny game. Ramos-Vinolas had all the momentum after the first set, broke Mayer in the first game of the third set and then completely disappeared, missing a sitter of a volley to go down a break and losing six games in a row. Also, what is up with the lack of spectators? There were like twenty people in the stands, what a shame for a tournament with such an awesome stadium.

Mayer's MP winner, just clipping the line.

It´s still early in Brazil now and they were probably in work/school still. Also, Bellucci is already out, the crowd was completely stunned yesterday, so there´s that.

Better player won in this match. Ramos completely collapsed in the 3rd, but Mayer is a more powerful player and still had it in his hands, even being down a break in the 3rd. It´s not like 1*-0 lead means that much with Ramos and his serve.

Someone on Twitter joked that the couple of spectators were Bellucci backers who couldn't afford the bus home

I watched only the first set and don't understand how Mayer suddenly couldn't win a return point in the 2nd set?! He certainly has the game to destroy mugs on indoor clay.

This is one of the nicest looking center courts on tour and usually the atmosphere is quite good as soon as some hundred people are watching.

Lack of respect to suggest this could be Florian, who hasn't played a match in almost a year because of injury and can't possibly be seeded #4 :wavey:
