MOSCOW (AP) - On the eve of his Russia-Argentina semifinals match in the Davis Cup, Marat Safin's BMW truck was stolen, Moscow police said Friday.
The four-wheel-drive truck is valued between $100,000 and $150,000 Cdn, a police spokesman said.
The theft, which Safin reported Thursday night, did not affect Safin's game. The Russian star beat Argentina's Juan Ignacio Chela 6-7 (1), 7-5, 7-5, 6-1 in Davis Cup play Friday.
Safin's was one of 25 cars reported stolen Thursday. Police gave no unusual motive for the theft.
