I'm actually very happy for Dmitry and especially Marat, at least he has came out on top on something.

:bigclap: Dmitry & Marat :bigclap:

It's nice for them to win in Moscow even if it's not in singles.

DiMarat was set up by The Fox Tarpischev to see how they played as a team in case they are chosen to play the Bryans. Tursonov originally was to play Moscow with someone else (can't remember who at the moment)

Let's face it though, they beat Cibulec and Zovko.

It's not quite the same league is it.

Well what do you want marat and dmitry to do? say "nah we are not playing cause the competition isnt top level" or make the most of it and hammer them in an hour?

I'm not saying they should do anything other than what they did.

I'm suggesting that "chilling warning" might perhaps be a slightly over-wrought expression given the circumstances.

I mean, I'm sure Behrend and Kas are now intimidated as all hell but I doubt Bob and Mike are stocking up on the Pampers.

I realise it wasn't in all seriousness, though.

Great result, 2nd career doubles title five years after his first. :yeah:

Actually, all jokes a side, they are a very good team when they play together. As far as Davis Cup is concerned they couldn't be stopped last year although I would still make this the hardest of the five rubbers for Russia to win in this year's final.

I would like to think it will help Safin's singles game but truth is his poor movement and inconsistency off his FH wing are well disguised in doubles matches. He might try to become a better volleyer but he's the first to admit he'll never become consistent enough to attack the net regularly in singles.

No, the Bryan brothers are nowhere near the caliber of Cibulec and Zovko . This is a fact :).
