Safin pulls out of Thailand Open
Russia's Marat Safin has withdrawn from next week's Thailand Open in Bangkok because of a knee injury.
The injury forced the 25-year-old to pull out of the US Open and his website says he will not be competing until he has fully recovered.
However, Australian Lleyton Hewitt has confirmed he will be taking part in the event which starts on 24 September.
Title holder and world number one Roger Federer, Tim Henman and home favourite Paradorn Srichaphan are also playing.
