The match served its purpose. To knock off some of that 1 and a half months of accumulated rust on Nadal and see how his knees held up. Winning would have just been an extra bonus.

They played well and I'm proud of them. Nadal is not a bad doubles player. He has titles and a boatload of finals for God's sake.

Oh and by the way, Fernando and Sa are both great at doubles, while Nadal was playing with by far the worst doubles player of the four, and they still almost won.
