Rotterdam R1 Dzhumhur def. (3) Tsitsipas 6-4, 1-6, 7-5

First win for Damir in 2019, and first win since his last match in Paris Masters against... Tsitsipas

Dzumhur is really fun to watch, incredible touch and nice groundstrokes. Give him a decent serve and he's top 20 easy, but unfortunately he starts every single point on the defense. He's been very poor lately so good to see him find some form.

It was just a horrible effort by Tsitsipas. This happens when you know you are better than your opponent and you go into the match unprepared to fight and with a half ass effort. Tsitsipas knows he could beat Dzuhmhur 10 out of 10 times if he wanted to and that's the problem. That was Zverev-type arrogance, which gets punished every now and then.

The final set was a cracker! He's a very crafty player. Looks like he's beefed up a bit physically, too.

I'm going to Rotterdam tomorrow and now I can't even thank him in person for saving tennis at the AO

Maybe I'll send him a vlog instead then

Not a problem, if Cicipas doesnt want to fight, there is others that will.
I call him this way sometimes  Westerners won't get it.
