Tennis star Marc Rosset has been robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight by a man who stole his car and mobile phone.
The Swiss player's 6ft 7in frame did little to deter the robber, who approached Rosset outside a video shop in Geneva.

The thief pointed the weapon at his millionaire victim and forced him to hand over his mobile phone and the keys to his Audio RS4.

The man sped away in the sports car, hitting two other vehicles as he left.

The Audi was found two hours later, out of fuel, on a major road in neighbouring France. The robber remains at large.

Rosset, who is currently ranked 113th in the world, was unhurt in the incident.

He had just returned from the US Open in New York, where he went out in the first round to Sebastien Grosjean of France.

It is not the first time Rosset has made the news for events unrelated to his sport.

In 1998 he made a last-minute decision not to board the Swissair flight between New York and Geneva, which subsequently crashed over Nova Scotia killing all 229 passengers on board

Boy has he had some lucky escapes :)

There is always strife for Marc after the US Open!

I'll lay odds he never plays it again ;) Good thing he wasn't hurt.
