... and now the first stop of Roger, father of another set of twin brothers.

You will forgive me my whimsical excursion into Roman myth, but the linkages were too enticing to resist.

Rome flourished, and we hope Roger will also do well here this year.

The Colosseum has been made ready, and the gladiators are taking their places and wielding their trusty rackets.

Thanks for opening the thread barbadosan :)
Roger hasn't confirmed if he is playing or if he is not. He was seen training on thursday at a Zurich club with the twin girls.
But if he does play the draw could be
Second Round : Chardy/Haase
Third Round : Foginni or rematch against Delbonis which would be nice.
Quarter Finals : Raonic/Tsonga/Dolgopolov
Semi Finals : Djokovic/
So all in all, not a bad draw for Roger
Quarter finals could be a bit tricky depending on who makes it through if Roger gets there, Novak is interesting because we don't know how his feeling given his wrist so should be a good tournament if Roger plays :)
First Rome title? Good feeling about it.

Will you still be feeling good about it after the Madrid final, I wonder? A slightly strange cast-list: not quite what I was expecting to see from a Masters, somehow.

Federer will play in Rome!

Good news for all Federer’s fans as according to reports Roger will fly tomorrow to Rome to play the BNL Internazionali di Roma.

Roger pulled out from Madrid as his wife Mirka gave birth to a second set of twins. The Swiss Maestro wasn’t sure if he would have take part to the Master 1000 to give the confirmation just now.

Roger will play Chardy in his first match. Head ot head is 1-0 for Roger.

Let’s see what this father of 4 can do now!

I can't seem to find a date on the page, but I think it was posted yesterday, the 11th. I'm not familiar with the source, so I can't vouch for their credibility, but keeping fingers crossed they got it right!)

Oh migosh - I didn't know there were any of the species left! Mirabile dictu! :) I didn't teach Latin - did it to "A" Level. At least something remained from surviving Rome's Decline and Fall through its 1000 Gibbons' pages :haha:

Thank you too, Kat

Now why might Roger attract so many fans of Latin? People here seem to love the classics.
