Always a good result to win against Kei, who has been one of the better players on clay this season.

Ferrer should pose a similar challenge against No1e.

The real reigning French Open champ and king of clay recovered well to win that set 6-1. Firm favorite to lift another FO

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... breadstick son.

Nishikori redlined for the 2nd set with a lapse on the part of Novak, but the ship was steadied in the 3rd and he won with the appropriate scoreline. Should have been 2 sets, but at least we got some tasty bakery products. :haha:

Keep it up Novak. That was just brutal in the 3rd.

The return is still quite off for Djokovic, far from his best. If Nishikori had been at his best, he might have lost that. Ferrer will have a chance if he plays like this I think. However, Djokovic turned it on in set three and that might be the switch for the rest of the tournament.

Nice breadstick in the last set. Not keen on Novak's insistence to play 3 sets though. Taking notes from P3tra for this tournament!

These 2 matches practically finished the same time:

Djokovic def Nishikori- 6-3,3-6,6-1.... Match Duration: 1 hour 48 minutes

Daria Gavrilova def Christina Mchale- 6-2,6-4... Match Duration: 1 hour 39 minutes

Nearly same duration yet difference in sets played.Typical chick tennis always holding things back ;)

Sorry Kei but you tried to beat the wrong guy. It's time to go back to China.:rocker2:
He's Japanese. Your post is racist and moronic.

Set1: Djokovic keeps it in court, Nishikori sprays errors all over the place
Set2: Nishikori cuts the errors, Djokovic goes to sleep a bit, pushing from 2m behind the baseline.
Set3: see set1
