How so? Pouille hasn't won a match since February and Kyrgios just got schooled by Andrej Martin.
Did you not forget the two consecutive challengers that Kyrgios won?

And there really isn't a more deserving Australian player atm for a WC

Kyrgios has won 10 of his last 11 matches including two clay Challenger titles. He ranks top 160 despite having about 10 tournaments on his ranking breakdown. Highest ranked teenager. Won a main draw Roland Garros match last year as an 18 year old. The list goes on.

Despite all this, you say he doesn't deserve a wild card based on one loss? Please find me another wild card candidate, or anyone in the qualifying draw, who hasn't had one bad loss this year.

Can't help but feel sorry for Kubler after all the work he puts into making it on clay. Kokkinakis benefiting from the snowball effect of his Australian Open wild card, but I can definitely see why Tennis Australia awarded him it.
