Actually Federer is Andy's main problem, but not for just beating him and dominating their rivalry, but instead for showing the rest of the world how you can dismantle Roddicks big game. Once you neutralize that serve and can combat his uber forehand, hes got no where to go but back home. His defense is still the worst among the top 10 players, his return of serve is mediocre at best relative to the top players and his transition game is suspect. I really agree with Vincayou here, Federer is his main problem, because he not only dominates him, but he's gotten into his brain and the rest of the tour is catching up from the free lessons Federer has given them, its been a series of lectures: how to dismantle Roddick lessons 1-10.
I couldn't agree with you anymore. Ever since that Wimbledon final when Andy came out and won the first set by pounding Ace after Ace at Roger, the lessons started. Roger in those other sets gave the rest of the tour their first lesson on how to deal with Andy. And since then, those on the tour realized that after take away the impact of the big serve, there isn't much left.

In life, not only in tennis, at some point, someone will open the beautiful wrappings and see what's inside.

This is a little bit of topic but the guys from "Around the Horn" (an ESPN Show) was just convincing his pal to watch the us open because there is still Federer and "a 6'10" Russian" who is fun to watch and is the buzz right now.

Who is that?

Nah he is from Croatia - or are the ESPN guys dumb?

Actually, I answered my own question. :D
I knew they were talking about Ivo also

But when he first said a 6'10" Russian is still in the tournament I thought he just made a mistake with the nationality but when he said "fun to watch" and " the buzz" around the ground he really lost me

Well he either got the height or the nationality wrong
Max is Soviet (in the old days, we'd just refer to all of them as Russians) and he's 6'5"
I don't have that much problem with the nationality but i mean he was trying to convince someone to watch the open he he said the is still Federer and Ivo/Max/or who ever he was describing. What happened to Nadal, Hewitt and Agassi
