Two players born in 2000 into R3 already, quite unexpected.

Great match by Gaston, awesome variety and confidence.

7-8 months ago in the betting thread a fool named umbrellabum or something like that was trying to clown me for saying Munar -5.5 games isn't a sure thing vs Gaston. Well, the French kid is playing better and better and unlike FAA, he showed variety in his game, which worked vs Nishioka. Just because that umbrella dummy couldn't see talent, doesn't mean it's not there.

Wasn't this like his 2nd ATP\ITF match win in his career?

Not sure about ATP, he had many challenger wins and most of all you could see if he added some consistency to his game - he could make a breakthrough. And he still hasn't done anything great, but he's showing that he's on the right path.

Very nice win for Hugo Gaston. He is saving the honour of France. Next match again Stan the Man will be a very nice experience for him. A fully deserved WC.
