Easily the highest quality match of the tournament. Monfils struggled throughout the rallies and looked dejected at the end of the 3rd, but some patches of brilliance got him through. Credit to Diego, he GOATED in the rallies throughout the match. For a guy his size, Diego is really solid. Fed's path is still under threat. :scared:

Great performance from both. Monfils was clowning for the first three sets, but was triggered 2-2 BP down in the fourth.

It's really unfair that every mug plays at 150% against Gael. As soon as he fell to 100%, it was well and truly over.

Great match, best of the tournament so far. Schwartzman was probably the better player from a tennis point of view, Monfils's superior genetics won him this match

Disgusting match, disgusting winner. Mugfils tanked 2 sets just to get his extra paycheck from the French tennis federation. Schwartzman played the best he could, but he's not that talented and not big enough to consistently hit through Mugfils 10 feet behind the baseline. This is the little guy in the match of his life losing to the big guy who wastes his talent because he's rich anyway and doesn't appreciate what little accomplishment he's even had. How can anyone enjoy that?

Also :lol: at Mugfils drawing a heart in the clay like he's Kuerten. I'd say get your own moves but we've seen how awful those are Stick to cribbing people's celebrations that are less offensive, maybe go steal Clownga's thumb dance.

4th and 5th set were very high quality.
When Monfils needed, he played quite well.

What a shock that pushing 10 feet behind the baseline, rolling serves in, and random dropshots and trick shots makes opponents look better than they are
