Yet another dominating display from Stefanos. Since being down 0 to 2 in sets in the 1. round the Greek has elevated his game to a whole nother level. A level that cannot be reached by anyone else that is left in this tournament.

15 down, 6 to go.

Rublev started out very well, striking a strong balance between persistence and aggression, but faltered serving for the first set and that was all she wrote. Tsitsipas grew ever bolder as the match went on and produced massive athletic forehands, while Rublev fell prey to despair as errors increasingly crept into his game. Funny how this match progressed pretty much the same as Djokrev QF here last year. Speaking of which, Tsits would be the obvious underdog against Djokovic but seems to be playing well enough to at least give him a good match.

Fatigue caught up with Rublev. He was the better player in set 1 but was physically finished after he couldn鈥檛 close out the first set. Winning Hamburg and those super long matches with Querrey, Davidovich and Fucsovics was too much. As for Tsitsipas, he was very mediocre and didn鈥檛 need to do much to win. All he had to do was let Rublev beat himself.

Tsitsipas won鈥檛 have that luck the next round, but he can be happy with a SF result considering his lackluster performances and poor competition.

The much more talented, aesthetically pleasing and rounded player won.

Always nice when such a one-dimensional player gets demolished.

Tsitsipas didn't have to do that much, in truth. He hung in there and was resilient.

Rublev an utter disaster. He burnt himself when things started to go wrong.

I was right about Rublev.

I'm a fan but his game isn't slam winning material, and I don't think it ever quite will be.

He will make a couple of semi's though.

But run into more varied, better moving, and spin abled players.

2nd set scoreline a little bloated, since Rublev messed up the last service game on serve from 30-all.

Tsits was real good in the 3rd, Rublev did well to deny another double break set there.

After a slow start, Tsitsipas has won 15 consecutive sets prior to SF. If this is lackluster then Djokovic is barely average.

Impressive turnaround from Tsitsipas. A very emphatic victory. Regardless of what happens next, he has to be feeling a bit more confident now compared to the US Open.
