At last, Slamrev of old has returned! Classic servebot pusher five-set nerve-wrecking win. The attack-serve-dropshot-volley-chokebot on the other side won many points in style but the choking side prevailed. Quite reminiscent of the Coric match, in fact. Zedrot was down 2-6 1*-4 30-40 (1-6 2-4 against Coric) and PHH choked the middle tiebreak from 5-3 up like Coric choked the second set TB there. Ridiculous scenes to witness in this amazing era of ours. Fun fact: both won the same number of points, 164.

Zverev was lucky that at 6-2 4-1* 30-40 Herbert figured out he was Herbert and consequently started doing Herbert things. The volleys he missed to allow the rebreak, the other break in the second and in the TB were the biggest clownery you will see this tournament.

Zverev looks highly beatable here. Sinner should fancy his chances of reaching the QF.

One of the very, very rare times that I was rooting for Zverev. The French Little Prince PHH is a choker of the highest order and I can't stand him. Has no heart or balls whatsoever. A few weeks ago he lost a tiebreak vs Karatsev from being up 5-1. When things get tight, he'll always find a way to make a double fault, miss an easy volley or hit a simple shot in the net. Zverev wasted too much time and energy with this bum.

Herbert really should have won it in 4 sets... his choking ability is incomparable to many among the active players.
He was riding the wave, came back in 5th set from a break down, but lost it completely when serving to stay in the match.

Zverev at least acknowledged in the post match interview that he played like shit. He didn't deserve to win it and he knows it deep very well.

Win is always a win, no matter if it's an uglier one. Was rooting for PHH towards the end, but this result will do nicely as well when having to choose between these two.

Now if Sascha could only raise his level for the next round(s) (clay specialist coming his way). My only sincere wish here. Just for the sake of us tennis fans & watchers, if nothing else.
