One-sided rollercoaster. Every set was dominated by its winner, lasting barely half an hour on average. Quite a rare sight. Tim should make quick of work of rude ghost judging by this.

Only saw the last part of the match, the rallies were pretty entertaining. Paul nearly pushed Thiem to 5 here last year, he’s pretty dangerous when on. Great clay season for Ruud, regardless of the result against Thiem.

Good that Ruud wrapped up the fifth set before we could have yet another endurance test going past the 12-12 threshold.

Thiem should beat him fairly routinely, but it could be a good match.

Next up in Thiem's Draw From Hell - a guy who got double breadsticked by Tommy Paul on clay. Should be a brutal one for the unlucky Austrian.

Ruud played a very tactical 5 setter here, put little effort into sets he was broken early in. The 5th was all Ruud, he had break points in 3 different games before taking it; until he served it out he had only lost 2 points on serve all set. Forehand was good in the final set, interesting match with Domi coming up.

Ruud has more potential than this. But yeah, this Ruud should be easy pickings.

Tommy is Tomic 2.0, friend of mine saw him drunk the day before his game against Mayer in the AO this year, lots of talent but just too unprofessional to make it far
Bernie is not that unprofessional anymore plus he is miles ahead of tommy Paul in terms of talent and results
