Obviously, 18th GS and 9th GS respectively...that goes without saying.

1)Federer would break Sampras' record of 7 Wimbledons if he were to win.
2)Grass HTH between Fed-Nole is 1-1. Winner takes a lead (unimportant I know..)
3)Novak will tie the H2H with a win on Sunday to make it 20-20

Fed would tie Connors for outdoors wins, and be just 4 shy of the Wimbledon record. But the big one is number 8 - it would be the first time Federer has ever lead at a slam.

The biggest record on the line is that Federer winning on Sunday would be the greatest achievement in Tennis history, a 34 years old beating the World #1, defending Champion and one of the Top 10 players ever.

It would put end to all GOAT debates. 18 vs 14? Ops.

Novak leapfrogs a whole group of 8 Slam members in the Tier 2 group, all in one hit.
He also joins an elite group of triple Wimbledon champions, and gets a 2nd multi-Slam season.

12 years between 1st and last Slam title would be an Open Era record, tying Sampras. Both overall and at the same slam.

Oldest Wimbeldon champions (Open Era):

1. Arthur Ashe (1975) - 31y 11m 25d
2. Roger Federer (2012) - 30y 11m 0d
3. Rod Laver (1969) - 30y 10m 26d
4. Rod Laver (1968) - 29y 10m 27d
5. Jimmy Connors (1982) - 29y 10m 2d

Fed will be 33y 11m 4d on the day of the final. Shows how good an achievement it would be.

Federer without personal record at Wimbledon, 1-2 with Novak in GS finals and 20-20 in H2H. It will be happy end.

Djokovic cant allow Federer to put a mark on Wimbledon. So far Djokovic has AO, Nadal FO and Federer nothing.
Oh yeah cos 7 Wimbledons is nothing, you absolute bonehead.

Calm down drug addict, Federer is currently sharing the Wimbledon record with Sampras.
I'm not the one pretending to be a fictional green man on the internet :wavey:
