This comes from Pearl Cleage's What Looks Like Crazy on an Ordinary Day:
pg. 244:"...because by now we were all old enough to know that what looks like crazy on an ordinary day looks a lot like love if you catch it in the moonlight."
Our protagonist, Ava Johnson, AIDS victim and former hairdresser, is determined to live her life as fully and enjoyably as possible. She finally marries the man of her dreams in the end and gets the "happily ever after" that her heart had been wanting all along.
The quote essentially tells us to expect the unexpected...and embrace the spontaneous moments in life with joy.
